Police report: The window was smashed and a lot of blood was found

On October 14, Grand Rapids police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1200 block of Perry Avenue. 

Grand Rapids-Officials from the Department of Public Safety in Grand Rapids responded to the following call.

• A fraud incident occurred in the 300th block of Nanzhou Street. The complainant had been working in a company where he received the package, opened the package, then checked the item for any damage, and then re-shipped it. After not receiving payment on December 3, he thought he had been deceived and found multiple similar complaints online.

• A false alarm occurred in the 800 block of Clark Street.

• According to reports, fraud occurred in the 1800 block of Milton Street. An unidentified suspect used the caller's credit card.

• According to reports, the Morrison Street 200 block violated a personal protection order. After the man threatened the protected person, the man's violation of the PPO will be forwarded for review.

• According to reports, a property damage incident occurred near State and South streets. 

• According to reports, someone broke into the 400 block of Ives Avenue. After the windows and doors were smashed, a lot of blood was found in the house. The incident occurred sometime between December 3rd and 6th. The incident is subject to further investigation. 

• According to reports, a property damage incident occurred near State and South streets. The driver in the accident was quoted because he did not have a driving license.

• A civil incident was reported in the 800 block of Division Street. A man called and said that a customer had stolen the dormitory. After arriving at the scene, it was revealed that a woman actually paid a $10 dormitory fee from the coin machine. The laundromat’s policy is that they don’t want the dormitory to leave the building. That woman was violated.

• A civil incident was reported in the 1100 block of Fuller Avenue. A caller said that her roommate made the TV too loud. The problem was resolved on the spot.

• According to reports, a civil case occurred in the 1100 block of Fuller Avenue, which was initially reported by a neighbor as a family member. The roommates were arguing, but there was no attack.

• According to reports, a hit-and-run incident occurred in the 700 block of Nanzhou Street. A Ford Escape rushed through the bushes and hit the pump pole of the gas station. The officer was unable to find the vehicle upon arrival, but it was later found. The driver was accused of hit and run.

• The Grand Rapids police assisted the deputy of the Sheriff of Mecosta County in front of the Sheriff’s Office in a property damage incident. The officials responded and identified the driver. Her vehicle was determined to be the suspect's vehicle. The driver was arrested for drunk driving.
