These performance sedans combine comfortable and practical interiors with some of the crazies power plants in production.

Performance vehicles come in many shapes and sizes. Besides traditional sports cars, there are performance electric vehicles, SUVs, crossovers, and sedans. Performance sedans offer sports car power in a more practical package.

They give a terrific balance of dynamic agility and everyday usability. Not only can these sedans take you on a fun road trip, but they can also easily carve up a back road or your favorite track.

Besides being some of the most powerful production vehicles ever made, these sedans are fun to drive and sensible.

The Flying Spur Speed is a more performance-oriented sedan. It’s an opulent cruiser that uses Bentley’s 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine capable of 3.7 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. The Flying Spur Speed produces 626 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque, helping it reach a 207-mph top speed.

Like the rest of the Flying Spur lineup, the Speed uses the ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system with rear-wheel steering as standard. It also offers Bentley’s dynamic ride system and a brake-based torque vectoring system to remain level through corners.

The CS is one of the most thrilling M5 iterations BMW has built in years. It uses the S63 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 627 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. The peak torque remains the same as the Competition model, but the extra horsepower offers monstrous acceleration.

Besides being a straight-line superstar, the CS gets the Competition chassis, including more negative front camber, 0.2-inch lower ride height, stiffer anti-roll bar, and stiffer engine mounts. The CS is also lighter thanks to the carbon fiber reinforced plastic on the hood, mirror caps, rear spoiler, engine cover, rear diffuser, and front splitter.

The new C63 swaps the old 4.0-liter V8 for a new plug-in hybrid setup. It's still a high-performance variant of the C Class sedan, but it uses an engine half the size of its predecessor. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder works together with an electric motor to produce a whopping 671 hp.

It helps improve on the previous C63’s performance even though it loses the engine’s character. Mercedes utilizes an electrically powered turbocharger system to help mitigate turbo lag. The new C63 also receives a spruced-up interior and racier styling, making it one of the best performance hybrids on the market.

The CT5-V is miles away from the mundane. It’s a representation of style, intelligence, and power. Cadillac built this luxury sports sedan to ignite emotions with its heart-pounding performance on command. The CT5-V offers sophisticated driver comforts and intuitive tech.

On the track, the Blackwing is the most potent Cadillac sedan ever. It delivers unmitigated power from its hand-built 6.2-liter supercharged V8 producing 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque. It also features track-themed touches and aerodynamic advantages, making it a masterpiece on the open road and track.

The Taycan offers thrills within fractions of a second. It features a fluid and sharp silhouette with a dynamic fly line. Unlike the Tesla, that’s blindingly quick, the Taycan is a performance-oriented EV with top-notch equipment to make it a great driver’s car.

It uses a 9-speed automatic transmission system and AMG’s 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system. The GT63 S E Performance has an electrified rear axle with an electronically limited slip differential. All these improvements help the GT63 S E Performance accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds.
