From professional warewashing functions to additional accessories, professional warewashing technology is becoming more and more personalized, so what are the options for distributors who want to specify customized solutions? We found seven best solutions for consideration.
Hobart Undercounter Dual Rack Insert
Hobart created a dual-rack plug-in for its undercounter washing machine, which doubles the capacity of the equipment in the same single wash cycle, so the energy consumption is the same.
Chris Mansell, Dishware Washing Product Manager at Hobart's UK Equipment Division, commented: "This is a very small expenditure-actually less than £100-but it is a very simple and effective opportunity to reduce costs. Other accessory innovations from the manufacturer include a new cup holder used in combination with the Premax undercounter. The system can wash 25 cups at the same time to ensure that they stay in place during the entire cleaning process. The concept also uses the new HLP-7000 rinse aid, which can be used for any items that are not heat-resistant and difficult to dry. It can drain water and make it dry faster.
Meiko's latest bottle washing system is designed to ensure hygiene, which means that catering suppliers can use their own bottles and obtain higher productivity through a dishwasher, further improving the sustainability of the dishwasher. The bottom washing arm is replaced by a bottle washing adaptor. This process should only take a few seconds.
The theoretical capacity of the Meiko machine is 640 bottles per hour (competitor 480), and each Meiko rack can hold up to 16 bottles (competitor 8). The bottle washer can also hold bottles up to 114 mm wide (competitor 100 mm) and up to 370 mm wide.
The bottle washing machine is suitable for all types of catering service providers, especially places with strong sustainable power. Krupp created the technological leadership when it launched iKloud in 2015, the world's first Wi-Fi connection for professional dishwashers. In 2022, the Italian-based company will combine iKloud with the new Krupp app to provide a complete Krupp world experience for salespeople, engineers, and caterers.
The application is designed to help sales staff and engineers access all Krupp electrical information via smartphones. The system displays catalogs and promotions, and has a section dedicated to technical maintenance. Marketing Manager Manuel Petrucci said: "Technology, Internet of Things and services will become the focus in the next few years, and those who start earlier will define new paths for professional dishwashing."
In addition, the manufacturer has also added a Soft Door system to its physical accessories series, which can smoothly open and close the dishwasher door and close it safely when approaching a new washing cycle to ensure user safety. A new dual-load accessory will soon be added to Krupp's product portfolio: to increase the capacity of the dishwasher when a smaller space takes over.
Granuldisk's dishwashers are different from other products because they have added granules to provide additional mechanical washing capacity. The Swedish company offers further options for particularly environmentally friendly installations.
The manufacturer suggests that distributors can add more value to customers by promoting its bio-based PowerGranules Bio. Product manager Ulrika Ahnfelt emphasized: “In addition to being biodegradable, these particles also use 87% less water in the manufacturing process compared to the original PowerGranules, which makes them the best choice for environmentally conscious customers.”
Other available options include the EcoExchanger function, which combines steam reduction and heat recovery. By preheating the incoming water, it can improve the working environment while saving up to 35% of energy.
Popular accessories include various holders that facilitate the cleaning of non-standard items, such as pots, lids, and cutting boards. These flexible accessories are designed to adapt to strange shapes and sizes and complement the standard brackets of Granuldisk's Gastronorm series.
Wexiödisk's roller table is an ergonomic dishwashing accessory. Rolling baskets of plates, crockery and utensils in and out of any Wexiödisk dishwasher through a conveyor system, the roller table is designed to improve the working environment by eliminating the need for workers to lift or load the often heavy dishwashing baskets.
David Glover, Country Manager of Wexiödisk UK, said: “Wexiödisk’s roller table is available in various lengths. It is perfect for operators who want to ensure that their employees’ dishwashing process is simple, dangerous and less intensive. Replenish."
The Swedish manufacturer also has a patented PRM (pre-rinsing machine) in its product portfolio, which Glover believes has become the basic system recommended by distributors.

Winterhalter reusable plastic cup system
Winterhalter's latest reusable plastic cup system is said to be the industry's first and was created in response to people's growing concern for sustainability. It was also selected for the recent COP26 meeting held in Glasgow.
The system has a special shelf that can hold lightweight cups and lids in place, and uses special chemicals to ensure that they dry quickly and efficiently. Paul Crowley, Winterhalter's UK market development manager, said: "This combination of machines, shelves and chemicals is a good example of how Winterhalter combines its various dishwashing expertise to create solutions."
He added: “We are the only dishwasher manufacturer that also produces our own chemicals. We specially formulate these chemicals to maximize the effects of our own machines-so that we can absolutely guarantee hygienic results. Nothing. Others can make such a request."
