Glaston Group has received an order for its two Vario TPS insulating glass production lines in the United States.

Orders for Central Valley Glass & Screen and Sierra Glass Fabrication have been booked in the first quarter of 2021 received by Glaston and will be delivered in the third quarter of 2021.

Improving the degree of automation and ensuring the high quality of insulating glass production are the driving factors for customers to choose Glaston technology.

The Vario TPS insulating glass production line for 2700x3500mm glass is equipped with a line scanner, which can digitally read and define different shapes of glass.

This information is then passed directly to the thermoplastic gasket (TPS) applicator and automatic sealing robot, saving time and ensuring more accurate final results.

In addition to increasing production capacity through limited failures, it is said that local service availability and spare parts support are also important to customers.

Since 1997, Central Valley Glass & Screen in Sacramento has been a source of wholesale high-quality manufactured screens and insulating glass installations by California contractors, as well as a source of supply of glass products and screens.

Sierra Glass Fabrication was established in 1976 and has now become a wholesale supplier of insulating glass units, tempered glass and prefabricated glass in Reno, Nevada, Mammoth Lakes, Bishop and Truckee/Tahoe, California.

"Working systematically for the long-term success and continued growth of our glass business has prompted us to look for proven machine and service suppliers to support us in achieving these goals.

"As the inventor of the TPS bulkhead system, Glaston's technical knowledge and expertise allowed us to make this decision," said Mike Fedyk, Vice President of Operations at Sierra Glass Fabrication.

"We are very pleased that these customers have placed their trust in us and our technology in producing high-quality insulating glass.

"Central Valley Glass & Screen has gained experience from our FC series flat tempering technology. Their decision to expand Glaston's insulating glass technology is highly appreciated, and Sierra Glass is a new Glaston customer.

“We look forward to working together to successfully install the production line and ensure the smooth progress of production,” said Kimmo Kuusela, senior vice president of sales and service for the Americas at Glaston.
